Andrew Viney's Trouble Photos
I was looking for old Crown Series photos today and came across about a dozen Trouble photos that Andrew Viney has taken at BYC races this year.
Andrew has a website here where you can find these and lots of other photos available at very reasonable print prices.
One sequence shoes the start of a long harbour race where we started on port next to Young Lion in lots of breeze, and Scott Brain received a little spiritual guidance from the guru of calm!

Harbour & Crown
Yep, going to need an ounce of luck and sail well too for teh rest of the harbour series. Entries have closed for the Crown Series, so what we see is what we'll get? Could be interesting. 2 Harbour races on Saturday and 2 Windward Leewards on Sunday may test our (aging) crew infrastructure... Doug

BYC Crown Series
Entries for the Crown Series for Group 2 are still a bit low. Seven, rather than the ten we had heard about. Alibi 2 will be a bit of a wildcard in this group as she hasn't really been performance handicapped against this group before, the rest of whose handicaps are well established as a group.
It is a bit disappointing that a few boats who we might have expected to see in our division, (e.g.Twitch) have elected to sail in cruising divisions. Also no HAN or Young Lion or Rousabout as yet.
(NB - I have added a link to the Crown Series website below on the right hand column.)

Still in the Harbour Series - just
We had a good result in the RYCT Royal Hobart Regatta Race yesterday over the line, but not so good on handicap.
After an eventful race we finished ahead of main rival Young Lion, but thought Rousabout would win on handicap. As it turned out, Silicon Ship was close enough for a handicap win, Rousabout was second, we were third and Young Lion fourth, giving us al least on valuable point back on Young Lion.
To beat Young Lion for the series we will have to do well in the last few races, and Young Lion do badly, as the fleets are likely to be small. Hot August Night will be breathing down our necks as well.
Should be fun!

"Less Trouble"
Trouble has a new junior sibling. "Less Trouble" has been acquired at vast expense as a replacement for "Short Wavelength", which sadly, went missing in a hasty departure from One Tree Point at 3.00am last Australia Day.
Less Trouble is slightly more stable than the very erratic Short Wavelength. She is very light, small, easily towed, and rather disreputable looking.

Cruising to One Tree Point
Another gorgeous day at One Tree Point on North Bruny over the Australia Day weekend.
Susie and I seem to be making a tradition of spending this holiday at One Tree. This was our second Australia Day there. It would be a tradition well worth maintaining.
We were joined by the Ariadne's Clew crew in the afternoon and enjoyed the usual lavish catering of "the Mother Ship" at dinner.

Notification Changes
Having sent out a couple of posts to revive the blog, I have realised that there some old crew members who probably no longer wish to receive Trouble Blog notices, and some new ones who might like to be included. I have removed "ex-players" and included new ones for whom I have email addresses. Where in doubt I have left you on. I wont be offended if you tell me you would prefer not to receive Trouble spam.
I am also happy to make any current crew members administrators etc on the site, and certainly would love it if you would like to contribute photos, thoughts, comments, insults etc...
Also, please let me know what else you would like to see here.

Trouble Blog Revival
The Trouble Blog, like the boat itself, has been badly neglected in recent years as the skipper focuses on other, apparently more urgent areas of his chaotic life. There will now be an attempt to revive the blog, if not the chaotic life, for the benefit of Trouble's legion of fans and crew. If there is evidence of interest (eg comments, correspondence etc) then it will probably continue. I could always treat it as a diary of things Trouble, if only for my own use.
Keen observers (I know you are out there) will notice that the Picasa links to photos accompanying previous posts have been broken, as I moved the Picasa galleries around without realising the effect this would have on the blog.
I have always used the Trouble blog as the quickest way of accessing links to yacht club websites and BOM links that I regularly use. If other crew members want to use it this way I will include their suggested links.
